MentoringNewborn Photography Mentoring

Newborn mentoring with Jess from Buffalo Baby Photography. Do you want to take your newborn photography to the next level and learn how I achieve beautiful straight out of camera images? We will work through my posing flow from start to finish and everything will be covered from parent and newborn prep, styling a session, how I use angles to create a full gallery and most importantly how to safety pose newborns.

Each 1:1 is specifically tailored to your needs – no session is the same! I will send you a questionnaire to help make your experience unique.

Approximately one hour of post process in Camera Raw and Photoshop will be covered unless more is desired! You will also receive and learn how I use any of my existing actions I offer and future actions if you desire. You will be able to use all of the images you take for your portfolio.

Each 1:1 session will take place in my studio in West Seneca, New York! We will spend a good 8 hours posing, shooting, editing, and learning! I generally have 2-3 newborns in the studio for us to cuddle with – this will also ensure that there is no down time if we have a fussy baby! Lunch, snacks and beverages are provided – NO STRESS, just come comfy and ready to learn!

Once your session is complete, you will be added to my Facebook support group with each of my other attendees for continued and ongoing support!

I like to schedule freely throughout the year so please contact me for more information on availability.  I schedule 1:1’s either M-W or Sat – other than that, there are no restrictions! We will both work together to figure out a date that works great for the both of us!!

I want to help you create the right environment, soothing, safe posing, transitioning baby from pose to pose to make your sessions go as smooth as possible, camera angles, and post processing. Ask questions and get some hands on guided experience.

  • 1:1 and 2:1 Individual Dates 2018 are booked based on OUR collective schedule. I find it’s more convenient if I don’t give specific dates as it’s more flexible for everyone!

1 thought on “Mentoring”

  1. I started newborn photography in April of 2017. I was so frustrated that my images weren’t what I wanted them to be. I’m a hands on learner so I decided to mentor with Jess. I can not put into words what that decision has done for my work. I am more confident and am happy to give clients their albums. My lighting, posing, and settings are very consistent and make my job so much easier. During my mentorship Jess was so patient, I was clueless and so new. She encourages you and continues to follow up with any questions long after you leave her studio. Her actions are amazing and decrease time spent in post-processing. If you are debating doing a mentorship, don’t walk RUN to sign up with Jess. Your images and clients will thank-you!!!!!
